Orval was born on August 23, 1933 to his (predeceased) parents Earl Quantz and Rosetta Domm. He was the youngest of two children. He grew up on the family farm located in the Walkerton area. Eventually the farm was sold and the family moved to Galt. At an early age, he started working at an auto repair shop located at 48 Grand Avenue South which he later took over and it became “Orval Quantz’s Service Station”. He was a long time member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church which is where he met his wife, Laurene. They both worked at the family business for over 25 years which was sold, eventually torn down, and is now where the Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge is located. Orval enjoyed the outdoors where he tended to his fruit trees and huge vegetable garden. He was witty and loved to share his many stories of his past. He was kind, loving, and would always help a person in need.

He will be greatly missed.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:00 am at Calvary Pentecostal Assembly, 127 Hespeler Rd., Cambridge. Reception to follow immediately.
