Obituary for Roberto Viscardi

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle, Roberto Viscardi in his 63rd year. Roberto passed away on January 17th, 2024, in his home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sharon, his adoring children, Joseph (Asha) and Laura, and his sisters; Josephine Basso, Clara Lumley (Steve) and Susan Bashford (Bernie). Predeceased by his parents, Giulio Viscardi, and Anna-Maria Rebellati as well as brother in law Giuseppi Basso. Roberto will be missed by the Viscardi, Astley, Church families, childhood friends as well as his Galt Sportsmen's Club friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude and thankfulness to Home and Community Care, Dr. Sandor, Paramed Nursing, OT Veronica and PSW care that was provided to Roberto over the past couple of years. Roberto will be remembered for his passion for Jesus, his love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and working with his hands on various projects. He enjoyed working in the garage on his vehicles and other home improvement projects. He was also a lifetime member of the Galt Sportsmen's Club, and enjoyed shooting competitively. Roberto was a brilliant Mechanical Engineer, P.Eng. working at Babcock & Wilcox. His dry sense of humour was truly memorable and he was a pillar to his family. Later in life when he came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, he brought his whole household to the Lord. This is the legacy that he started which will continue from generation to generation to generation. You were the provider, protector and priest of the home, and you are loved as well as missed beyond measure. Visitation at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St N, Cambridge, Ontario N1R 5N6 (519)-740-0669 on Monday January 22nd, 2024 from 2pm-4pm & 7pm-9pm. The funeral will be held at 12pm on Tuesday January 23rd, 2024 at the Church of the Nazarene, 1332 Hamilton St, Cambridge, Ontario. Interment to follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please give an offering of thanksgiving for his life to All Nations Full Gospel Church Cambridge either by cash, cheque or e-transfer via cpryce@anfgc.org would be most appreciated.
