Obituary for Shirley Anne Bowman

Bowman, Shirley Feb. 16th ,1939 - Feb. 14th, 2024
She was predeceased by her father Albert Bowman & Mother Anna May Booth, her brothers Ron Bowman and Doug Booth, sister Darlene Beam & her husband Allen Beam. Survived by sister-in laws Phyllis, Pat and Laura and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Shirley was all about family and often spoke of them. Also, she will be missed by her dear friend of many years Helen Reume from Chatham. There were many care givers that took care of Shirley over the years, whom she talked about including Joann Drew and during her stay at Henley House Mary-Jo Au where their weekly visits included laughing, playing games and outings. Thank you so much Mary Jo, your friendship meant a lot to Shirley.
Shirley was full of life and loved to do all kinds of activities, but really enjoyed Bingo. All she wanted to do was go shopping and to people watch. She loved to dance in her younger days and could sing along with many songs naming her favourite country music artists. Murder She Wrote was her go to show but she also liked to watch movies. She loved to joke with the maintenance man Mike because he could always make her laugh and became very good friends with Joann a fellow resident & Louie her husband. Shirley’s life at Henley House the last 8 years, would not have been what it was if it wasn’t for the excellent care and compassion of the staff. The family had peace knowing she was in good hands. In lieu of donations please do a random act of kindness. A Graveside service with family and those wishing to attend, will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2723 Victoria Street, N., Breslau, ON N0B 1M0 on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 1:30 pm.
